3. Rakhi Sawant, do I need to say anything here???? She is looking more like Cruella of 101 Dalmatians. I am unsure which one of her avatar is horrible, “before” one or the “after” one?

Not everyone comes out with flying colors after going under the knife as can be clearly seen in the case of actresses like Koena Mitra, Rakhi Sawant, Minisha Lamba, etc. I do not want to say anything about Michael Jackson coz it’s not appropriate to snigger about someone who is no more. As far as others are concerned, actress Koena Mitra is a living nightmare. One look at her can scare the daylight out of you. One cannot tell who looks better, Koena Mitra or the late Michael Jackson. She underwent multiple surgeries on her nose, silicone implants for her breast, corrective surgery for her lips, and even got her eyebrows tattooed. Right now, I am sure, the only organs that are remaining intact in her body (from the time that she was born) are her kidneys, lungs, and heart; the rest of the organs have either been replaced, corrected, or repaired.

Man begs for help to remove 176lb tumor

The tumor on Nguyen Duy Hai's right leg is bigger than his leg itself, rendering him unable to walk, and now he is begging the world for help.

The 31-year-old Vietnamese man has reportedly suffered from this giant tumor since childhood. Even after doctors amputated his leg at the knee 14 years ago, the tumor has continued to grow, swelling to a weight of 176 pounds and leaving him housebound under the care of his 61-year-old mother, News.co.au notes.

"I can't do anything. I can only sit and lie down," he told the press.

Nguyen Duy Hai, 31, of Vietnam suffered from a 176-pound tumor in his leg and has appealed for funds to pay for a surgery to remove it. The tumor has left him unable to walk.

Doctors have stated that the tumor -- which is the largest on record in Vietnam -- is non-cancerous and potentially caused by a genetic mutation.

Unable to afford further medical treatment, Hai is seeking financial assistance from anyone who can help and sharing his story with publications around the world.

News outlets ranging from The New York Daily News to Fox News have already detailed his plight.

Those interested in contributing to his cause can contact the Red Cross of his hometown, Da Lat, at phone number 063.3822035.

10 Weirdest Diseases

Blue-skinned people? Vampire Syndrome? When we were kids, we couldn't hear enough about illnesses, horrid medical conditions or weird diseases. Not much has changed since then. When we hear about an outbreak of a flesh-eating bacteria or some other rare sickness, we're fascinated. But now we're also terrified. Some rare diseases are very real and if you catch them, you're a goner. Here's a list with 10 of the most rare diseases out there.

1. Elephantiasis: grossly enlarged members

Lymphatic filariasis, also known as elephantiasis, is best known from dramatic photos of people with grossly enlarged or swollen arms and legs.

The disease is caused by parasitic worms, including Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi, and B. timori, all transmitted by mosquitoes. Lymphatic filariasis currently affects 120 million people worldwide, and 40 million of these people are seriously diseased. When an infected female mosquito bites a person, she may inject the worm larvae, called microfilariae, into the blood. The microfilariae reproduce and spread throughout the bloodstream, where they can live for many years. Often disease symptoms do not appear until years after infection. As the parasites accumulate in the blood vessels, they can restrict circulation and cause fluid to build up in surrounding tissues. The most common, visible signs of infection are excessively enlarged arms, legs, genitalia, and breasts.

2. Progeria: the 80-Year-Old Children

Progeria is caused by a single tiny defect in a child's genetic code, but it has devastating and life-changing consequences.
On average, a child born with this disease will be dead by the age of 13. As they see their bodies fast forward through the normal process of ageing they develop striking physical symptoms, often including premature baldness, heart disease, thinning bones and arthritis. Progeria is extremely rare, there are only around 48 people living with it in the whole world. However, there is a family that has five children with the disease.

3. Werewolf Syndrome: the wolf people

When two year-old Abys DeJesus grew dark, hairy patches on her face, doctors said she has a condition known as Human Werewolf Syndrome. The disease is called werewolf syndrome because people with it look like werewolves - except without the sharp teeth and claws.
In Mexico, a large family of men had hair that covered their faces and upper bodies. Two brothers were even offered a part in the X-Files but they turned down the offer.

4. Blue Skin Disorder: the blue people
A large family simply known as the "blue people" lived in the hills around Troublesome Creek in Kentucky until the 1960s. They were the blue Fugates. Most of them lived past the age of 80, with no serious illness - just blue skin. The trait was passed on from generation to generation. People with this condition have blue, plum, indigo or almost purple skin.

5. Pica: the urge to eat non-food substances
People diagnosed with Pica have an insatiable urge to eat non-food substances like dirt, paper, glue and clay. Though it is believed to be linked with mineral deficiency, health experts have found no real cause and no cure for this disorder.

6. Vampire Disease: pain from the sun
There are people out there who go to great lengths to avoid the sun. If they are caught in the sun, their skin will blister. Some of them have pain and blistering as soon as the sun touches their skin. Ok, so they're not actually vampires. They don't drink blood and sleep in coffins, but they do suffer from a rare disease that has vampire-like symptoms.

7. Alice in Wonderland syndrome: time, space and body image are distorted
Alice in Wonderland syndrome (AIWS), or micropsia, is a disorienting neurological condition which affects human visual perception. Subjects perceive humans, parts of humans, animals, and inanimate objects as substantially smaller than in reality. Generally, the object perceived appears far away or extremely close at the same time. For example, a family pet, such as a dog, may appear the size of a mouse, or a normal car may look shrunk to scale. This leads to another name for the condition, Lilliput sight or Lilliputian hallucinations, named after the small people in Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels. The condition is in terms of perception only; the mechanics of the eye are not affected, only the brain's interpretation of information passed from the eyes.

8. Blaschko's lines: strange stripes all over the body
Blaschko's lines are an extremely rare and unexplained phenomenon of human anatomy first presented in 1901 by German dermatologist Alfred Blaschko. Neither a specific disease nor a predictable symptom of a disease, Blaschko's lines are an invisible pattern built into human DNA. Many inherited and acquired diseases of the skin or mucosa manifest themselves according to these patterns, creating the visual appearance of stripes. The cause of the stripes is thought to result from mosaicism; they do not correspond to nervous, muscular, or lymphatic systems. What makes them more remarkable is that they correspond quite closely from patient to patient, usually forming a "V" shape over the spine and "S" shapes over the chest, stomach, and sides.

9. Walking Corpse Syndrome: they believe to have died
It is a syndrome of mental depression and suicidal tendencies, in which the patient complains of having lost everything: possessions, part of or entire body, often believing that he or she has died and is a walking corpse. This delusion is usually expanded to the degree that the patient might claim that he can smell his own rotting flesh and feel worms crawling through his skin. The latter phenomenon is a recurring experience of people chronically deprived of sleep or suffering amphetamine/cocaine psychosis. Paradoxically, being "dead" often gives the patient the nation of being immortal.

10. Jumping frenchman disorder: weird reflexes
The main characteristic is that patients are extremely startled by an unexpected noise or sight. It's not just twitching when someone sneaks up behind you. Patients with this disorder flail their arms, cry out and repeat words. First identified in some of Maine's lumberjacks of French-Canadian origin, the odd reflex has been identified in other parts of the world, too.

8 Truly Bizarre Sleep Disorders

1)Sleeping Beauty Syndrome: the girl who sleeps for ten days at a run

When 15-year-old Louisa Ball takes a nap, she doesn't mess around. She sleeps for days on end, and no amount of shaking or prodding can fully wake her up. The British girl has a rare condition called Sleeping Beauty Sickness, but there's no Prince Charming on the way to rescue her. Doctors don't know what causes it or how to cure it — only that it strikes teenagers and goes away by itself after 8 to 12 years.

She was eventually diagnosed with Kleine-Levin Syndrome, whose victims worldwide may number no more than 1,000. The victims live normally for weeks or months at a time, with normal sleep patterns and normal energy levels. Then, with little warning, they'll go to sleep for days or weeks at a time. So far, Louisa's longest bout in bed has been 13 days. Victims will wake briefly, but be disoriented and not fully alert. Louisa's parents force her awake so she can use the bathroom and eat.

2)Sexsomnia: the woman who has all night sex while asleep

Worn-out Haley Batty, 23, is suffering from an amazing sleeping sickness that really does keep her boyfriends up all night. This medical condition means she can't help pestering them for sex from bedtime 'till dawn. But she's ASLEEP all the time—and never remembers a thing in the morning.

The medical condition sexomnia makes Haley Batty demand sex while she's asleep. Haley's been dumped by a string of men who got the hump when they asked, "Was it good for you, too?" only to get the response, "Eh?" because she'd been unconscious all night. She sighs, “I can have sex three or four times a night if the guys have the stamina, but in the morning I won't know anything about it."

Sexsomnia, or sleep sex, is a sleep disorder, where people have sex while they're sleeping without realizing it! Most times, they can't remember anything that happened, and because they're unaware that this is a medical condition, they don't seek professional help. According to a study, sexsomnia affects 11% of male and 4% of women.

On August 8, 2007, a British RAF mechanic was cleared of a rape charge after the jury found him not responsible for his actions when he had sex with a 15-year-old girl. (Link | Via)

3)Non-24-Hour Sleep Disorder: people who have constant jet-lag

When it comes to sleeping disorders, none of them are as strange and difficult to treat as the non-24-hour sleep-wake disorder. People affected by this disorder have internal body clocks which refuse to acknowledge the standard 24-hour cycle of a day and therefore do not necessarily associate night with sleep, and day with being awake. (For example, a person whose natural internal body clock was 28 hours long would seek sleep at intervals four hours later each day, incrementally, than typical people would.) Most interestingly, while Non-24 affects both blind people and sighted ones, it is very prevalent in blind people who do lack light sensitivity, suggesting that our body clocks are a function of the Earth's rotation. 4)Narcolepsy: people who fall asleep suddenly during regular activities

Perhaps one of the best known, and yet still weird, sleep disorders is narcolepsy, which has a tendency to put people to sleep unexpectedly while they are engaged in normal, everyday activities, such as driving, jogging or washing dishes.

Narcolepsy is a neurological sleep disorder that is commonly associated with falling asleep at random times. Narcoleptics tend to fall directly into REM sleep, when most dreaming occurs, and less commonly enter deeper and more restful stages of non-REM sleep. As a result, they are unable to stay awake for extended periods of time, and upon falling back asleep, they still are unable to experience sleep's more restorative stages, causing a vicious cycle of extreme sleepiness and inability to stay awake after having slept. Another symptom can include cataplexy, the sudden collapse of an individual into REM sleep upon experiencing strong emotions. Sleep paralysis and hypnogogic hallucinations (hallucinations which accompany sleep paralysis) are also known to be symptoms. The cause of narcolepsy has not been determined. It is widely believed to be an autoimmune disorder, but it may also be genetic. Treatments include stimulants, anti-depressants, or hypnotic medications such as Xyrem.

5)Cataplexy: the woman who falls asleep every time she laughs

Claire Scott has a rare disorder which means that when she gets an attack of the giggles she falls over and blacks out. This mother of two suffers cataplexy – a rare sleep disorder that makes her pass out whenever she gets the giggles.

She said, "The other week, my little girl told me a joke she'd made up at school. It didn't even make sense but I burst out laughing. The next thing I knew, my husband was picking me up off the kitchen floor." Mrs Scott, from Jersey, Channel Islands, has always had the condition but was only diagnosed recently. The 24-year-old added, "Sometimes, I am aware before it happens – other times I completely black out and I'm left paralyzed. Once, I collapsed while walking through the middle of a high street. People do look at you strangely when it happens. It's really embarrassing."

The rare disorder that Mrs. Scott suffers from is said to affect 5 people in 10,000. Cataplexy sufferers can experience a sudden and temporary episode of loss of muscle tone, often triggered by emotions. (Link)

6)Somnambulistic Eating: the woman who gained over 60 pounds while sleeping

Nocturnal Sleep-Related Eating Disorder (NSRED), also known as Sleep-Related Eating disorder (SRED), sleep eating, or somnambulistic eating, is a combination of a parasomnia and an eating disorder.

According to doctors and psychiatrists, NSRED is closely related to Night Eating Syndrome (NES) except for the fact that those suffering from NES are completely awake and aware of their eating and bingeing at night, while those suffering from NSRED are sleeping and unaware of what they are doing. During the handling of this food, patients with NSRED distinguish themselves, as they are usually messy or harmful to themselves. Some eat their food with their bare hands while others attempt to eat it with utensils. This occasionally results in injuries to the person as well as other injuries.

Patient Anna Ryan didn't even know that she was suffering from NSRED for a year-and-a-half and that she gained over 60 pounds (27kg) during that time. Anna first noticed that something was wrong when she felt exhausted during the day even after she had gotten what she thought was a good night's rest. Anna decided to go talk to her doctor, Scott Eveloff, about her lack of energy, and he suggested that she participate in a sleep study. When Anna participated in such a prescribed study, she discovered that she was up most nights and eating while sleeping. (Link)

7)Sudden Unexpected Nocturnal Death syndrome: healthy men who go to bed and never wake up

Almost everyone wants to go peacefully in their sleep, but the situation seen in cases of Sudden Unexpected Death Syndrome probably isn't quite what they meant. With this sleep disorder, healthy, happy young men go to sleep one night… and never wake up. The situation is on a clear parallel with sudden infant death, which is seen in babies, everywhere; the only difference is that victims of this variety are older, male and most often found in Southeast Asian countries.

It is believed that the victims' hearts simply skip a beat and never start up again. Lacking a more thorough explanation, some make up their own: in Laos, some believe an evil spirit is to blame. This spirit, taking on the persona of a spurned woman, lashes out against the opposite sex. This belief has even inspired some men to cross-dress their nights away, sleeping in women's clothing to remain undetected. Elsewhere, some believe that consuming too many carbs is the culprit. (Link)

8)Sleep Paralysis: people who become immobile even after they are awake

During REM sleep, dream activity revs up and the voluntary muscles of the body become immobile. This temporary paralysis keeps us from acting out our dreams and hurting ourselves. Sometimes, though, the paralysis persists even after the person wakes up. "You know you're awake and you want to move," Kline said, "but you just can't."

Even worse, sleep paralysis often coincides with hallucinations. In one 1999 study published in the Journal of Sleep Research, 75 percent of college students who'd experienced sleep paralysis reported simultaneous hallucinations. And these hallucinations, when they occur with sleep paralysis, are no picnic; people commonly report sensing an evil presence, along with a feeling of being crushed or choked. That sensation has given sleep paralysis a place in folklore worldwide. Newfoundlanders know it as the "Old Hag." In China, it's the "ghost pressing down on you." And in Mexico, it's known as the idiom "subirse el muerto," or "the dead climb on top of you." Even today, some researchers suspect that tales of alien abduction may be explained by episodes of sleep paralysis. (Link)

Biggest or Largest Zit in the World

A boy with a zit large enough to be considered an environmental threat to others has had the pus-filled tumour removed, authorities in India said today.

Raj "Two Head" Hoholi, of little note, is a 16 year old boy from Bombay who had possessed perhaps the world's biggest facial pustule until it was lanced today. Authorities recommended the removal of Hoholi's enormous, gargantuan, super-sized pocket of pus due to safety concerns. There were fears that the zit might spontaneously erupt and shoot a geyser of whitish pus with the consistency of toothpaste at passersby, causing injury.

Hoholi's monkey was removed from his shoulder shortly before a firecracker was placed on the unwieldy zit. The firecracker's fuse was lit and emergency workers fell back quickly. After a few seconds, the firecracker exploded. Hoholi, whose zit shielded him from experiencing any pain, stood silently for a few moments as it became clear to the authorities that the zit had not been breached.

Authorities were expecting a second attempt when Hoholi suddenly found the entire situation so amusing he smiled; he was starting to laugh when the zit suddenly exploded, showering dozens of people 30 meters away with whitish ooze.

A fun time was had by all. Hoholi's new facial crater will be filled in with a putty compound and he is expected to resume his normal Indian short-penis life with no long-term ill effects.

I hope you enjoyed learning about the biggest and largest Zit in the world. When we tried to find out which is the biggest Zitin the world we found this information. The information above on the biggest Zit in the world is gathered from various world record resources. So, the biggest or largest world record holder may change.

Strange facts-Girl who had eight limbs

The little girl who had eight limbs

She was born with a unique body - eight limbs and two torsos fused at the hips.

Now Lakshmi Tatma, the Indian toddler whose plight touched the world, has grown up and started school. Two years after a ground-breaking operation to separate her from a parasitic twin, Lakshmi is a lively and bubbly four-year-old. She loves playing cricket with her older brother, has a tendency to boss around her newfound friends and remains firmly a daddy's girl.

'When I think of the way she was, never in a million years would Lakshmi have been able to go to school or have the life she does today,' said her mother Poonam, 26.' All the things she's capable of now were impossible two years ago. 'I often try to think what she might be like today if she hadn't had the operation - she couldn't even sit up before and now she runs around like other children.'

Born in a dusty farming village in India's poorest state, Lakshmi was revered as a deity and worshipped from birth. Villagers, who believed she was the reincarnation of the Hindu goddess of wealth and fertility, would seek her blessing daily and leave gifts at her bedside.

strange-facts

But Lakshmi's resemblance to her mythological namesake came at a terrible price. She could not walk, stand, or even sit. The little girl was joined to a headless parasitic twin that had stopped developing in her mother's womb. Doctors were convinced she could not have survived into adulthood. Now fully recovered from the 27-hour operation to save her, Lakshmi is almost unrecognisable from her former self. Beneath the surface, however, lurk a series of medical problems that threaten her future and will require years of surgery.

strange-factsSix months after the complex operation to remove Lakshmi's parasitic twin, doctors discovered she had developed scoliosis, or a curvature of the spine. Without a complex operation to correct her spine doctors have warned her back will be forced into increasingly severe deformities as she grows, possibly leaving her disabled.

Separately, Lakshmi requires an operation to 'detether' her spine after it was discovered she was born with abnormal tissue connecting the spinal cord to her nervous system.

In a further operation orthopaedic surgeons must perform a procedure to 'close her hips', which are set too far apart and result in an unusual 'gaited' walk.

Finally, plastic surgeons will need to find a way to create buttocks for Lakshmi, which did not form in the womb because of the unique way she was connected to her parasitic twin. In the same operation surgeons will have to fix related problems with her bladder and intestines.

'Lakshmi has come such a long, long way but we're very scared for the future,' said her mother Poonam.
strange-facts
Born to impoverished parents in the frequently lawless state of Bihar, in India's volatile northeast, Lakshmi faced an uncertain future until a wealthy doctor heard of her plight and offered to operate on her for free.

Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Sharan Patil, owner of the Sparsh Hospital in Bangalore 2,000 miles south, travelled to Lakshmi's remote village in 2007 to meet the child and offer her parents the chance of a lifetime.

After more than a month planning the separation, Dr Patil's team attempted the first operation of its kind in the world.

Hundreds of journalists camped outside the hospital throughout the 27-hour surgery.

Lakshmi's fame, having spread from her tiny village around the world, prompted Sucheta Kriplani Shiksha Niketan (SKSN), a charitable school looking after disabled children in the desert state of Rajasthan, to offer her parents a place to live and the chance of an education for Lakshmi and her brother Mithilesh.
strange-facts
Dr Bhairoon Singh Bhati, the secretary of SKSN, said: 'Lakshmi is a special case for us. She's a very challenging case because you can never tell from her medical history when she might next fall ill.

'Her scoliosis is an example of the problems Lakshmi faces because we had no way of knowing she would develop a curvature of the spine.

'Similarly, despite all the problems she still faces we have no way of knowing what may crop up in the future.

'The biggest difficulty caring for Lakshmi is that she's a unique case - there's never been a child like her before so we have nothing to refer back to.'

Under Dr Bhati's guidance Lakshmi has started school, joining her elder brother as the only members of their family to ever receive an education.
